A record 262 people attended our Annual Dinner this year on March 21st at the Irvine Hilton. Those people who brought or bought a book by David Sibley to get autographed, had the special treat of meeting the famous ornithologist in person. Everyone enjoyed the social hour before dinner with the no-host bar and the opportunity to look at the displays and make the rounds at the Silent Aucton tables where a large number of interesting items were so artfully laid out by Cheryl Thomas. While we ate, we were able to watch the powerpoint program about our chapter which was put together by Cheryl and Scott. Before David Sibley's program, the awards were presented and then came the part of the evening we all had been anticipating — David Sibley's program. It was definitely a memorable evening! We would like to thank all the people who worked together to make this event such a succes.
