BIRD
CHECKLIST
San Joaquin
Wildlife Sanctuary
compiled
by Charles Austin
This checklist, which is based upon and
extends the original 1993 list compiled by Sylvia Gallagher, Robb Hamilton
and Doug Willick, lists 263 species which have been recorded at the San
Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary and adjacent San Diego Creek as of Dec.
31, 1999.
Copies of the list, with monthly abundance
graphs for 166 of the species, may be obtained at Audubon House. (It's
not practical to try to duplicate the bar graphs on this webpage format.)
The following list will give you a good idea of what birds may be found
at the SJWS.
