Here are some of oour numbers from last week —

In the Colony In the Front Yard Grand Total
320 nests to date 89 nests to date 409 nests total
86 total chicks 82 total chicks 168 chicks as of Friday
22 chicks in the nests 6 chicks in the nests
64 chicks out of the nests 76 chicks out of the nests
5 dead chicks 3 dead chicks

Comments: The numbers are looking good, despite the presence of crows and kestrels! We are continuing to see at least a few new nests every week. We spooted a pair of kestrels on Friday in one of the pailm trees across PDH. Wally came out while we were monitoring to set some traps.

Have a great week.
