2011 Season

2008
Least Tern & Snowy Plover Project

July 15th - Open Shifts

Monitors:

There are a few open shifts coming up —
Tuesdays, July 22 and 29, from 1-3
Friday, July 18, from 9-ll

Please let me know if anyone can cover.

I have been getting questions as to when the monitoring will end. We usually end when the terns are all headed south and there is no activity in the preserve. This is usually the end of August., but David will let me know when to notify all of you. You are also encouraged and welcome to continue looking for SNPL after the tern nesting is finished. SNPL usually start coming to the beach around the end of August. It is always good information to get counts and locations and report any color banded birds.

In the past, we also have had an end of the season get together potluck BBQ around the first week of September.
More information to follow later.

Thanks,

Cheryl
