By
all counts, we had a very successful year at the least tern
colony. Numbers of nests, chicks and fledglings were all very
high- within the top 3 ever. And, the birds could not have
done their job without your help and observations. For more
details of the season, pictures, and awards, I hope you can
make it to the annual BBQ and season recap Tuesday August
26, 5:30 PM at the Huntington State Beach Lifeguard HQ at
Magnolia.
Bring something to grill, eat with, and drink (no alcohol
at State Parks) and something to share (A-L bring a salad,
and M-Z bring a dessert) and meet with your peers and enjoy
the evening.
