Here
are the current numbers for the Preserve. Comparing these
with what we see at the Preserve, the season is nearing the
end. There are no active nests, no more chicks, and not but
a few pedation events-we should have a very productive season.
This morning, I counted 45-50 Least Terns with a high fraction
of juveniles. No bands on the young ones were noted, but this
is a possibility, and should be noted in our log. 6 Snowy
Plovers were seen.
Hope to see all of our group at our fun end-o-season BBQ on
the 29th. --David
