Partners in Flight

September 2007 marks the beginning of the 13th year of Sea and Sage's Partners In Flight program.  Six times annually, volunteers are in the field in Orange County documenting all bird species and each individual bird seen and/or heard at each of their points on their point count routes.  Most of our dedicated point counters have been doing their routes since the program began; however, for various reasons, a few of the routes are vacant.  If you have any interest in participating in the program, please contact Janet Baumann at 949-859-5081 or by e-mail at  .  You may join the program at any time of the year, and you even have the option of beginning a new count in any area of the county where you may have a special interest, with the caveat that no one else is already doing a count in that particular area. Following are the dates for the 2006-07 season:

Fall 1 = tba
Fall 2 = tba
Winter  = Jan. 19 - Feb. 3, 2008
Spring  1 =  April 12 - 27, 2008
Spring  2 =  May 10 - 25, 2008
Spring  3 = June 14 - 29, 2008
