THE COASTAL COUNT SECTIONS & THEIR COUNT LEADERS:   (2) WESTMINSTER MEM. WILLOWS, CANYON PARK, GOLF COURSE- J im Pike  (7) OLDER AREAS IN SANTA ANA- Carol Getz  (8/9) CENTENNIAL PARK, MCAS BLIMP BASE - Dick Purvis (10/11)  WESTSIDE of UPPER NEWPORT BAY -  Larry Tripp  (12) EAST SIDE of UPPER NEWPORT BAY - Dick Kust  (13) UCI, SAN JOAQUIN MARSH, SJWS - John Bradley  (14) MASONPARK, UCIFOOTHILLS, CORONA DEL MAR - Doug Willick  (15) NEWPORT HARBOR & BEACHES - John Hargrove   (16) PELAGIC AREAS - Jerry Tolman.  Rick Derevan dealt with the legal aspects of obtaining entrance permits.  Curtis Johnson coordinated the event & compiled all the data.  SPECIES SEEN DURING COUNT WEEK,  but not on count day: White-winged Scoter, Royal Tern, Plumbeous Vireo, Bank Swallow, Large-billed Savannah Sparrow.  EXOTIC SPECIES seen on count day or during count week:  Egyptian Goose, Mute Swan, Black Swan, Mitred Parakeet, parrot sp., Red Bishop, Nutmeg Mannikin
